Bill Steele, Mayor of Port Colborne
Bill Steele has served as the Mayor of Port Colborne for the past 8 years, focusing on community rebuilding and investment. By working with higher levels of government, he has brought unprecedented investments and hundreds of jobs to the city while securing infrastructure funding.
Prior to becoming mayor, he spent 17 years as a City Councilor and served as a two-time chair of the Niagara Police Service Board. He also owns and operates his own insurance business.
His community involvement includes 35 years of coaching youth sports, serving as president of his local minor hockey association, Lions Club, and Jaycees, and serving on the boards of the Niagara College Foundation and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
He is married to Debby and has three children: Mitch, Mack, and Riley.
